Letitia, garde d’enfant à Ipswich

Hello my name is Letitia and here is a bit about myself.

I was born in South America and moved to the UK in 2003. I love kids fashion and interior decorating especially kids interior/spaces. I believe that children should be allowed to be children and enjoy being young as it only happens once and makes a big impact on who they become. Personally I am the last of 3 siblings but even so I was well looked after and I know what to do and how to provide a caring, relaxed and fun environment for children. Also before moving to the UK family was an even more big part of my life as I come from a very close-nit family whereby gatherings were common and looking after those younger than you was a norm.

I love outdoor activities and sports, specifically badminton, hiking and rock climbing. As my passion in life is to become a kids fashion and interior designer I am quite creative and love making cushion, etc. and re-decorating a space to emphasize light and calmness.

I recently graduated this June from the Huddersfield University studying textile design for fashion and interiors and would love to the opportunity to further be involved in the care of children and getting to know what they like, and want. I am positive and look forward to making a better future for our younger generation.

That being said I have some knowledge of working with and around children from previous work experience in High School, carrying out two weeks as a Teaching Assistant at Murray Field Primary School (July 2007, year 3&4’s); whereby I further developed my focus, ability to work efficiently and successfully as part of a team whilst enhancing my organisation and communication skills, care and behavior when caring for children in situations. I also have further extensive experience in interactions and communication from spending most of six years as an active member of the scheme Peer Mentoring & Pal Scheme at High School throughout to Collage working with years 7 to GCSE. This most certainty provided me with confidence, care, awareness and the ability to adapt to situations and circumstances well; also the ability to effectively help, organize and direct creative tasks.

I would really appreciate the opportunity to start in this field.
