Katie, garde périscolaire - ST5 Newcastle-under-lyme

My name is Katie and I am 19 years old. I have studied Level 3, BTEC National Diploma course in Childcare Learning and Development at Newcastle-under-Lyme College. I currently work in a Primary School at the care club. I am very enthusiastic about working with children and proving the best care for them and fun. I would also describe myself as very reliable, punctual, creative and organised. My hobbies include: playing squash, reading, horse riding, baby sitting and voluntary religious activities.

I have had a lot of experience working with children. During my 2 year childcare course I have done 4 different placements, 2 in nursery's and 2 in schools, working with a different age range in each. Also I currently have a part time job at a primary school in the care club where I work with children from all ages in the school. As well as my placements and job, for quite a few years I have been babysitting for family friends. I have worked with children from all backgrounds and abilities, providing them with individual care for their learning and development.

I currently work at a Primary School part time in the care club. However if the right permanent job comes along I would be willing to resign. If I resigned I would want part time hours, I would be available any day of the week.

I have a level 2 certificate in First aid at work that I completed in 2014. I have also been DBS checked in September 2013.
