Chloe, au pair à Grantham

I am Chloe and I am currently 17 years old and will be 18 in August. I am in my second year at Sixth Form and I am studying BTEC Diploma Level 3 Children's Care, Learning and Development in which I am predicted to receive a double distinction, and I also study A level Biology. At GCSE I studied BTEC Level 2 Health and Social Care, in which I received a distinction* as well as History and also ICT.

I am willing to carry out any types of care such as; babysitting, part-time care and also be an au pair, however I am not able to care for children at my home. I am currently learning to drive and will be able to travel around to various areas once I have passed in around the next 3-4 months (I am still able to make my own travel arrangements before then).

As a carer for a child, I believe I both have and have developed a range of qualities such as time-management by being able to follow various children's routines and also to be punctual when arriving to babysit or nanny. I am flexible with my time and would be available last minute to look after the child(ren) and feel that I am caring, trustworthy and reliable and would provide and maintain a high level of care to the child(ren). I am independent and also always use my initiative in a range of situations as well as environments.

By completing my Health and Social Care course and throughout my Children's Care, Learning and Development course I have had the opportunity of completing a number of different placements in a range of children's settings for periods of time, during these placements I have run and led a number of activities with the children and have observed their reactions to them. Also by carrying out my Children's Care, Learning and Development course I have been able to attain my British Red Cross general first aid for babies and children certificate, which provides me with basic knowledge on how to provide them with standard medical care at home.
