Alexandra, baby-sitter - DH8 Consett

Hi. My name is Alexandra , but you can just call me Alex. I am a 16 year old student who is looking for her first job over the summer before college starts.

I love working with children. I may have no younger sibilings, but I have a large extended family and so has spent the majority of my life caring for younger cousins and very young relatives.

I am an A* student and I love to interact and entertain young children as well as help with their education. I am willing to do any care work, but would like to ask for a days notice for work. I am available from Monday to Saturday, as Sunday is the day I visit family.

I think it is important that in development, a child receives full time care and support as, without enough attention, a child can develop social anxietys and mental stigmas such as depression. This can stop a child from flurishing and can effect their education. This is why I aim to always encourage positive behaviour and happiness in children.

I believe education is very important and so I am happy to help with homework and teach some of the basics of all subjects and the languages I speak (English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese), as well as playing fun games and organizing fun activities. I believe young children learn best through play and so I will incorporate education into any activity.

As I grew up with a Grandmother who was a cookery teacher, I have a fondness for cooking and baking, and I am glad to share the enjoyment of baking with those younger; but always remember to put safety first!
