Aaliyah, babysitter - B36 Castle bromwich

Hello! Aaliyah is my name. My initials are ABS. By my college friends, I'm informally known as Absy. The reason for this is my initials, which I love! Aaliyah means 'tall / towering', which in my case is ironic... 5'1". My middle name is Bibi and it means 'good girl' and that is not an ironic aspect to my personality. My last name means 'teacher / scholar', which is brilliant as I wish to be a Primary School Teacher after gaining my Level 3 qualifications and getting a degree from University.

I am old enough to drive a car... 17 years old! (Not that I drive). I bike-ride EVERYWHERE and I love it... Exercise, fresh air, MUCH faster than walking and cheap! I attend College on weekdays and have created a timetable to fit my assignment work and the volunteering that I do weekly in Secondary Schools and Primary Schools. Therefore, my weekends and evenings are often free and occupied with fictional book reading, television watching and, in the winter, knitting.

My experience comes from my volunteering in a Year 6 Physical Education (PE) class and a Year 9 Mathematics class throughout the 2013/14 academic year. Working in a Year 6 PE class allowed me to teach the children lots of different sporty activities and games that they can enjoy inside the lesson and out on the playground, as the activities I created are safe for both events. I have also been a support mentor within a secondary school, for pupils that required some past oral care and within the Year 9 Maths class. Having this role included gaining safeguarding training, which has come in handy for getting more work experience in schools. Plus, I have a fully clean criminal record and a DBS document as proof that I'm capable of working with children and vulnerable people.
