Erika, babysitting - BA6 West bradley

I am a competent 18 year old who's just completed her A-levels at Monkton Combe Senior School in Bath & looking for some part time work to fill the remaining weeks of the summer holiday before venturing off to Uni.

Childcare has always been something that I've been passionate about. I have many younger cousins in both the UK & Denmark who I've frequently been called upon in the past to look after, as well as previous experience looking after children for friends & neighbours of ours, whether it be babysitting or simply keeping an eye on them for a few hours while their parents are at work.

This past academic year I've occupied the role of Deputy Head of House in a girls boarding house at Monkton Combe. This role involves ensuring that the younger girls within the house are both happy, safe and enjoying their general school and boarding life.

Over the last 5 years spent in the boarding house I've learnt many skills that are essential when dealing with other individuals, furthermore I have a bank of games and activities tucked up my sleeve (ie. sardines, 40/40, splat and so on) that we've used over the years to keep people entertained!

I am aware that childcare isn't always easy, but it's certainly not boring and there are always many aspects that can put a smile on your face!
