I am 18 years old and hope to start my online course, Child and Youth studies BA (HONS), at UHI Inverness in September. I currently work in a local shop however am eager to start working with children. I have experience of babysitting already and thoroughly enjoy it. I am highly interested in arts and crafts and think it would be great to share this love with children. I am looking for hours within Mon-Fri however I can consider being more flexible to suit family needs. I am also more than happy to help around the house when needed.

Emma looked after our kids from the age of 4, 6 & 8 on a part time basis. She stepped into the void created when our childminder moved onto pastures new, who was with us for 8yrs. We were recommended Emma through friends who knew of Emma's interest in childcare and were more than happy to give her an opportunity. When she arrived she was shy but soon bonded with kids, one of whom had the same childminder for some 8yrs and was great to see a bond develop quickly. Emma created a fun factor but also good learning with our kids and any worries we had about a new childminder not gelling, quickly disappeared. The only reason she no longer works with us is we moved to NZ for a year but truth be told should we return we would have no hesitation in asking Emma to come with us again. Emma appears to have a very shy exterior, but once settled in, brings happiness to kids but also confidence to parents that we made the right choice. She is happy to do small chores to help families and nothing was a problem. We have no hesitation in providing a reference, Emma will give any family a lot confidence looking after their kids, teaching kids good habits but also making it fun.
