I am a 51 year old lady from London. I grew up in Ibiza and from 1988-2019 lived in London. Whilst in London I studied Latin American Studies and Anthropology before having my daughter in 1996 and have had extensive experience with children of all ages. I bought my daughter up between the UK and Ibiza. Throughout my years in London I worked as a Community Interpreter and whilst at university did a lot of babysitting for families.
I have been in Valencia since September 2019 and have worked at Jarit a migrant association in Russafa since November 2019 on a voluntary basis. My main role has been to coordinate the classes in Spanish, Valencia French English and Computers for the service users as well as coordinate the advice and guidance service offered by the association. Other duties included teaching literacy and English to the service users of Jarit. To initiate the classes i would devise warm up games for the students. Whilst at Jarit i obtained the qualification to become a Director de Animation de Ocio y Tiempo Libre.DAT. The course involved devising group games to entertain the children. i could adapt these to smaller group contexts. I am patient and have good communication and organisational skills and enjoy being with children of all ages. I have always enjoyed working with people of all ages however i find children fun and entertaining to work with. Recently whilst at Jarit I participated in carrying racial awareness workshops in a secondary school in Valencia. This offered an insight into into some young people's attitudes to diversity in Valencia.
