My name is Karen and I am 42 years old. I am the mother of two beautiful twin girls who are 6 years old. I have a BSc Chemistry (Hons) Degree from Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh. I first worked as a Senior Analyst for a Pharmaceutical Company and for the last 15 years have worked in Quality Assurance for a Pharmaceutical company. However my passion (and always has been) is children. I have loved bringing up my own children and watch them grow, develop and learn. Children are a great joy to me therefore the time is right for me to pursue a career in childcare. I have completed training in the following: First Aid, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Safety, Child Protection, Early Language Development, Children's Rights, Learning Through Play and Promoting Positive Behaviour. However there is no better on hands training than raising twins! I can help your child learn through structured play, fun activities (indoor and outdoor) and homework. I am also willing to help out with light housework around the house. More importantly I am a warm caring person (and with my experience a stickler for quality) who will devote everything to provide quality fun care to your child.
