Lynette, auxiliaire parentale - RG18 Thatcham

I live in Thatcham with my partner who is self employed, we have been together for 10 years and brought our house together 8 years ago. We enjoy holidays, days out and the company of friends and family.

I'm an easy going, calm and patient person. I love to work with children, helping them learn through play and fun experiences. I think every day should be full of fun and laughter!

I am a qualified and experienced childcare professional, qualified to level 3 with 18 years experience. I have worked in childcare settings since qualifying and have recently changed direction to nannying.

In recent years I have been a deputy manager of a large nursery and a manager of a small nursery and a village preschool, working directly with the children in all roles.

I nannied for a family for 5 years during school holidays whilst I worked term time at the preschool and now nanny as my permanent job. I recently worked for 2 families providing emergency temporary childcare and currently work for a local family providing childcare for their 3 children.

I am qualified to level 3, gaining a diploma in childcare and education in 2003. I hold a valid paediatric first aid certificate (gained in 2017) a first aid at Work qualification (2017) and have a DBS check (May 2018 and I’m on the update service); I was interviewed by Ofsted in 2011 and deemed suitable to manage a childcare setting. Happy to register officially with ofsted if required.

I am looking to work 2/3 full days per week with the flexibility to do more/less on occasions to suit. I would really like to find a long term family that I can stay with for many years to come.

My current job is due to end around the beginning/middle of September due to a change in the families circumstances . I am away on holiday from the 24th of September for two weeks so will be available to start at the beginning of October although I may be available for ad hoc days in between.
