Andrea, nounou à Carmiano

I'm Andrea, I'm 36 and I'm from Lecce, (Italy); I am a licensed psychologist. I consider myself as a dynamic and flexible person, with great capacity for adaptation and coping. I like new challenges and learn new stuff. I think also to have good interpersonal skills and great capacity to deal with people having different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
I think that my academic background makes me particularly suitable for all those jobs involved in education and social care. First of all at the "Pietro Siciliani" socio-psycho-pedagogical Institute, I had the opportunity to study the main explanatory theories and phenomena related to the construction of personal identity and human and social relationships. Furthermore, at the university of Padua (the second oldest university in Italy and one of the most prestigious), I had the occasion to learn about the psychobiological basis of the main genetic syndromes, learning disabilities and neuropsychiatric syndromes of the developmental age.
I did several traineeship experiences, both in private and public organizations contexts. In particular, I would like to mention:
▪ the traineeship at Comunità Emmanuel, where I assisted to the diagnosis and rehabilitation of minor patients with pathological addiction disorders.
▪ the traineeship at C.E.P.S.I.A. (Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Center for Children and Adolescents) where I had the occasion to assist to the diagnosis and treatment of minor patients who were victims of abuse, maltreatments or conduct disorders
▪ the traineeship at Scientific Institute for Research, Hospitalization and Health Care in childhood and adolescence "Eugenio Medea", I had the opportunity to interact and assist to diagnostic evaluation of children with genetic syndromes (Williams syndrome, Rett's syndrome, etc.), with autism spectrum disorder, conduct disorder, etc.
In 2015 I did a Missionary experience in Benin (sub-Saharan Africa) supported by the Soeurs Salésiennes des Sacrés-Coeurs of Natitingou. There I had the occasion to assist to the assessment and the treatment of young children victims of malnutrition, and the prevention of parasite related diseases (such as Malaria).
My last work experience has been at Ashford Lodge, a residential care home where I had the occasion to assist people affected by learning disabilities of various kind (autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, Cornelia De Lange syndrome, etc.) during their daily tasks.
Finally, from a personal perspective, I think that my best qualities are patience and good will. Actually these values are those that helped me to cope with the difficulties of life and to never give up. I also consider myself an empathic and altruistic person. I can't wait to hear from you.
