Imaani, garde périscolaire - OL1 Oldham

My name is Imaani . I am 18 years old. I am looking for a job that will help start my career in childcare. I am an enthusiastic and hard working person who loves to work with children. I enjoy working with children in between the ages of 2-8 years old, however I am willing to work with children from any age group.
From Jan 2016 to Jun 2016, I worked as a volunteer teaching assistant in Clarksfield Primary School. The key responsibilities I had were ensuring the all the children are safe and being aware of the Health and safety measure put in place for the children. I also supervised activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, music, etc. I also carried out activities following an activity plan made according to the EYFS curriculum. I also observed the children’s progress while carrying out activities and then reporting back to the teacher so they are aware of the child’s progress. I also reported any concerning issues to the teacher or parents regarding child protection. As I am also a fluent Urdu speaker, I helped with translation when a parent cannot understand or speak English and requires translation to Urdu. I also worked with the children to help them learn new skills such as using scissors or cutlery. I also listened to the children and helped them as much as possible.
