I have 6 years experience working with children since graduating in 2010. Currently I am a teaching assistant at a local Primary School. I have been an english teacher in China for 2 years teaching ages 3-16yrs. My teaching experience means I'm happy to help with homework! My expertise would be helping younger children who are learning to read and write through KS2; although I feel confident and comfortable helping with most homework. I have also got 4 years experience working at a childrens' summer camp in the USA where I looked after girls aged 7-9 and taught horse riding to children aged 4-15yrs. At camp its important to structure down time so that campers don't get bored or start missing home so I have experience in encouraging practical activites, rather than sitting in front of the tv or playing console games. I love the outdoors and think this is an important part of childhood, so if you are an outdoors-type family, for example with a dog or horses, I would also be able to help out in this area.
