Rosie, garde périscolaire - YO1 York

Hi, my name is Rosie and I'm a TEFL teacher from York in my mid-twenties. I have always wanted to work with children and I started babysitting when I was still in school.
In the past I spent two years working as an au-pair for a family with four children, the youngest of which was nine months old when I arrived. My time with the family was so rewarding because I got to see the kids grow up before my eyes, and the youngest became a bilingual baby because of me! My duties with the family were as you would expect, for example taking the children to and from school, playing games, helping with homework, preparing meals and general childcare.
Since then I have completed a TEFL qualification and from 2016 until March 2020 I taught English in Italy to students ages three and up, including some large classes of little ones. I particularly enjoy teaching early years because I love to be creative.
I also love learning about language, I'm fluent in Italian and being an au-pair gave me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. From September I will be studying for a degree in English Language, Linguistics and TESOL.
