Yiyun, assistante maternelle pro à Serris

My name is Ku Yiyun. I was born in Taiwan and I am 27 years old.
I come from a loving family where my mother used to work as a full-time babysitter while my father owns a small restaurant. My sister, married with a kid, is a kindergarten teacher. Under their influence, I am very good with children, and I also spend a lot of time with my sister’ daughter who is five years old now.
My interests include watching movies, listening to music, traveling and learning new languages. I have studied Japanese since high school, and I went to Japan as an exchange student for 1.5 years from which I got new cultural experiences and made many friends in Japan.
I like to travel and I have been to France twice already. I found France a very charming country with lovely people speaking the beautiful language, which is very different from Asian culture I’ve experienced. And through learning a new language, I can have a better understanding of another culture and people, which opens up my eyes to a whole new world. As soon as I returned from the trip to France, I started to take French lesson. It has been a year since I learned the language. Therefore, through the aupair progam, living with a host family in France will help me to pick up the language naturally.
I am responsible person who takes work seriously. I am also the kind of person who is friendly, easy-going, and gets along with people easily. I like to meet new friends and support people in need.
I enjoy cooking as well, as I had to cook for myself every day when I was studying in Japan. I am good at making Taiwanese food, and I love making dishes and sharing foods with friends and family. For me, sharing food is an important part of cultural exchange. So hopefully, I’d have the chance to share my cultural experience both in Taiwan and Japan with the host family in France, and it will be interesting for both of us to learn something new about the other culture.
