Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a very caring and responsible individual. From the age of five, I used to help my mother look after my younger sister. I have had previous work experience with children; I worked as an English Language Teaching assistant in Spain for a year. In addition to this I have had various other highly responsible roles, most recently being my role as a Police Constable.

Working as an English Language Teaching assistant taught me about the different dynamics of certain classes and how to adjust to the abilities and characteristics of different children, adapting my lesson plans to create an environment in which all my pupils could feel comfortable and enjoy their classes. I witnessed the progress of the children’s English language skills over the course of the year which was very exciting and rewarding. I also learnt very early on in this role that working with children was something I was very interested in.

My recent role as a Police Constable was a very demanding one in which attention to detail was vital at all times. I was given great responsibilities ranging from prisoner handling to completing paperwork to very high standards within a very fast paced environment. On occasions I had to deal with violent offenders, however I always managed to maintain a calm and controlled environment in which everyone was kept safe.
