I grew up in Los Angeles, California in a household of six. I have two sisters and one brother, I am the youngest. Growing up in a diverse community made me interested in traveling. I enjoy learning about different cultures while also sharing my own. As a nanny abroad I get the opportunity to fulfill this passion. Children are very curious, and I enjoy teaching them English and about my country. The experience is mutual, as I have also learned a lot from taking care of children. I have become a more attentive person and I have discovered that I enjoy helping people.
I became a nanny when I was taking care of my sister´s three children, ages: 3yrs, 2yrs and 6 months. Because my nieces and nephew were young, we often played with dolls or building blocks. The two older ones enjoyed coloring and putting simple puzzles together. I would teach them the basics like the alphabet and colors. They also enjoyed singing along to children songs.
Becoming a nanny is a step in the right direction as I am certain that I will continue to gain valuable experience. Over all I hope to make a difference in a child's life and I look forward to becoming a nanny.
