I am retired from a 30 yr. career in Social services.
I worked with special needs adults for 10 yrs. I taught life skills, cooking, and helped many become independent in their own apartments.
Next I worked as a women's support worker in a house for women and children leaving family violence. I did that for 20 yrs.
We had daily contact with the children .
After retiring I cared for 2 boys by driving them home from school 4 times a week and staying with them until a parent came home.
Also did some cleaning for the family as needed.
I did this for 3 yrs. until the boys got old enough to do for themselves.
I also have 3 grown children of my own who I raised and they are on their own now.
I would like a part time position caring for 2 children when needed.
Light cleaning and some cooking also provided if required.

Not sure what to charge because the family I worked for for 3 yrs. paid me $400. every 2 wks. which included gas as I picked up their boys 4 times a week from school. Did kitchen cleanup and stayed with them until a parent returned.
Naturally I would prefer more but willing to negotiate a reasonable offer.
