Lauren, baby-sitter à Sandgate CT20

I'm Lauren, I was an Au-pair to an 8 year old boy in Italy for 2 months during this summer. I taught him English both by using a textbook, by playing and doing tasks like shopping together. My host family also taught me Italian. Before this, I was a Young Leader at Brownies for 4 years and began to pursue my Leadership qualification before I had to put it on hold to go to university. During my time in Guides I have learnt many skills which have helped me such as cooking and gained an Active Response qualification. I made a guide to Guide Games and have led many games with the Brownies and the Guides too. I have also done work experience at my old primary school, working particularly with a 6 year old boy with ADHD who needed help to focus. My younger brother has Aspergers so I have experience in how I can engage him in activities. Lastly, I babysat for a family several times a couple of years ago, which mostly constituted of playing games with the children and stopping them from being bored.
I am originally from a village near Folkestone, attended Folkestone School for Girls for 8 years and my parents are both moving there so I know the area fairly well and will be able to travel in Folkestone whilst staying there. I am returning for a month from the 13th December and will be back again in April so would love to continue getting experience with children as I would quite like to work as a museum education officer for children.
