Bente, baby sitter à Milano 20133

My name is Bente and I am a third year university Bachelors student in Food Technology from the Netherlands. I am currently living in Milan for 6 months because I am doing my minor at Politecnico di Milano in Food Engineering. This means that I will only be available during this time to babysit.

I am 19 years old, which is normally too young to be so far in school, but this is because I have skipped a few years in primary school due to my fast learning abilities. This also means, I will be very happy to help your children with schoolwork if they want or need to. My mother tongue is not English, however, in the Netherlands we learn English from a very young age, I study my Bachelors in English, and I have an English certificate at level C1, so my English is of Advanched level. I don't speak Italian, so if that's really needed, I cannot be the right person for you unfortunately.

My parents have been divorced since I was 8 years old, and from that time I have been helping taking care of my little brother and sister since my mother was at work a lot. This means that I have a lot of experience in not only the "fun playing with" part, but also the cooking, cleaning and caring department. Caring for your own family is different than for other people, but besides my siblings, I have also babysitted at other houses for short periods of time. I have done babysitting for a family with three kids (5, 9, 11) when I was 15 years old, for a family with a child of 2.5 years old when I was 17 years old, and for a child of 11 years old when I was 15.

An important note is that babysitting is normally not my job. I used to work as a facultiy manager in the supermarket, where I also had to deal with various responsibilities, one of which including leading a group of younger people (ages 15 and older). So the families I have babysitted for have approached me, instead of me asking if I could babysit for them, since this was not my form of income. Two of these families lived in the same street I lived in, and approached based on the way I acted around kids, my kindness and the overall feeling they got from me.

The other family (11 year old) was the daugther from my boss at my first job in a restaurant. The girl reminded me of my sister, and thus I knew how to talk to her whenever she came by in the restaurant. At some point she liked me so much, she asked the her mother (my boss), if I could babysit her some time. So just mentioned previously, this was not from my side, but the family asking me. But again, since this was not my primary source of income, I only babysitted here for short periods of time, or when the families desperately needed it.

Don't let my age scare you, as I am normally estimated as 21+ when meeting new people due to the way I view life, activities I like to do, and maturity overall. I don't like to go clubbing and I don't drink a lot of alcohol. Instead I really like sports, I like to go to the gym, go on my racing bike, hike in the mountains and enjoy going outside overall. So if your children like to do outside or sport related activites, I would love to do that with them. Besides that, I like to get creative, and thus I will enjoy painting or crafting with your children if that is somethign they are interested in.

One of the most important things is that I am quite patient. I don't get angry often, and I am capable of whitstanding nagging and I am able to handle energetic children as well since my familiy is quite hectic (and I myself can be very energetic). I also know what to do first hand in medical emergencies, however also for this please keep in mind that I don't speak Italian, and thus when speaking to the emergency line, I will have to rely on their ability to speak English in order to be able to help the child.

If there are any questions or uncertainties after reading , don't be hesitant to give me a call or to send an email. If you would like to have a meeting beforehand with or without the children to see if you like me, I am also completely fine with that as I understand it can be hard to trust someone to take care of your children.

I am hoping you will think of me as a right babysitter for your children. The age does not matter to me, however I am not used to the baby/very young infant stage with changing diapers, bottlefeeding etc. But I do know a thing or two, and as mentioned before I am a fast learner, and I will try to do best for your child and also grow togehter with them. I hope to be someone they are comfortable with, and if this ends up not being the case after a few sessions, don't be afraid to tell me, since I don't want to force your children into something they don't like. I want to be their playing buddies, and someone they like being around as I will be speding quite some time with them.
