Lorna, baby-sitter - S75 Darton

Hi my name is lorna and I am 26 years of age. I have worked with children since 2007 I have worked as a Nursery nurse for three years in a day care setting where I had a key worker role, supporting children aged from 6 months to 12 years. In 2010 I then went to work in a residential care home, looking after children and young people in care.

I have worked voluntary for the NSPCC and family action and my role was an independent volunteer. This role was to support a young person Living in foster care, I took the young person out on activities in the community and offered emotional support to help the child deal with challenging situations in her life.

I am now currently a tutorial team leader at Barnsley college where I work with young people on a daily basis supporting them in class, I meet them on a weekly basis to offer 1.1 emotional support and I also monitor attendance. I am a very friendly, motivated, approachable person who has a passion for working with children.

I have a step son of my own who Is 6 years of age and I take care of him at weekends. I love spending time with my family and I would really like to build a positive relationship with a family as a nanny.
I have a clean driving licence and I am happy to travel, I also hold a current DBS which is held on the automatic data base.
