Milan, baby-sitting à Barcelona

Hello :)
My name is Milan Moya. I am 25 years old and I am from the United States. I recently graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelors in Political Science. Shortly after graduating, I moved to Madrid to begin teaching as an English language assistant in primary schools. I am in my second year of teaching as an English language assistant I adore my job and the children that I work with every day. I have a passion for creating fun, imaginative, and innovative lessons and activities that are intriguing and engaging for my students. Every day we work on improving their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills by playing games, watching videos, participating in role plays or presentations and working on various assignments. Examples of games we play include pictionary, matching, charades, and hangman. However, I am constantly working to improve my method of teaching and incorporate new ways of teaching my students every day.

I tutor for three families as well. My responsibilities include helping them with their conversational skills, reading to them, playing with them, assisting them with their homework, and helping them prepare for their exams.

I have experience nannying as well. In the Fall of 2018, I was a full time nanny for two three year-old boys. I cared for them five days a week, from 8am until 4pm. My responsibilities included doing daily chores around the house, assisting them with their homework, preparing meals, participating in activities, and taking them to and from school. Some of the activities we did included arts and crafts, board games, and card games. I often took them to the nearby museum, library and any other place the parents asked me to take them to.

In my experience I have learned to be very patient, caring, and understanding of the children I work with. Every child has their own unique abilities and personalities, and I make sure to pay close attention to these details to ensure I am assisting them in the best way possible.
