I am a 17 year old female student that has a lot of passion for working with young children and I am looking for a weekend job that i would enjoy and find rewarding.

I believe I am a very caring person as i am able to support children in different situations and work very well with them. I would describe myself as an enthusiastic person which would be considered important for someone working with children as I would come across as fun and friendly towards children.

I have gained a lot of experience through the BTEC children's play learning and development course that I am studying, as I have been to different nursery and primary school settings with children of different age ranges of 11 months to 8 years old. At the end of this course I will have completed over 750 hours of experience. I have gained many qualities whilst working with children and have learnt many things regarding them such as how to deal with children that have additional needs and being able to provide them with resources and also children with behavior management.

I have built my confidence through this course since I have been in the position of doing things independently and working with children that have SEN and being able to lead children in their play and learning in their differentiation groups as I have done before in previous settings. I am confident in keeping children entertained by planning age appropriate activities for the children and only allowing them to take appropriate actions.

I believe that i would make a great babysitter/childminder as i have a lot of experience with children and i have a great passion of working with them. I have a lot of knowledge on children play and the importance there is, this is because i have planned several activities in the early years setting with children of different ages. These activities were planned according to the different areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage such as small world play, role play and imaginative and creative play. I am able to carry out activities with appropriate resources, this is important as it concerns the child safety.
