Hello! I am Maria, I am originally from London but have been living in Italy since 2010. I have worked in an international Nursery and Preschool setting for those years and am now looking for a small family to work with directly.

I have worked with children of ages varying from 12 months to 5 years old in a professional capacity and have years of experience taking care of my niece and nephews from their first days.

I have worked extensively with the Reggio Approach to education and am a firm believer in guiding children to be the protagonists of their own learning experiences, rather than seeing children as blank slates to be filled. Each child (no matter how young) has their own ideas about the world and has their own take on how to interact with it. I am adept at looking after the physical wellbeing of children. I have vast experience in creating engaging activities for children of ages up to 5 years old and am ready to support children on an emotional level, with much experience of this behind me.

I am not here to earn "extra" money. Working with children is my passion, my livelihood and a role I take very seriously. I believe in nurturing the child as a whole and that is the way in which I approach my work. If this feels like the kind of support you are looking for, please do get in touch.
