Teresa, babysitting à Bath BA1

I am 49 years old. A responsible and mature woman who has no children due to medical reasons. However, I have 4 nieces and nephews under the age of 7 and in the recent past helped look after my 7 year old niece Callie from when she was a baby. I live in central Bath and they live in South Wales.

I work at Bath Spa University part-time as a Note taker for students with various disabilities (I have a CV which shows my work experience).

Having no children of my own and living a fair way away from my relatives, I miss the company and joy of children. I am very well educated, having a 2:1 degree in English and History and would like the opportunity to share some of what I know with a younger generation.

I also have my own art business and sell reproductions of my work on the internet via Red Bubble. I usually paint using acrylic paint but I'm very practical and can turn my hand to most forms of artistic practice including making cards and models etc. Children love my artwork as it is very colourful. I also paint customised name plaques for children. I'm also good at DIY and learnt a lot about woodwork from my Grandfather who was a carpenter.

I have a beautiful guitar that I have painted that fascinates children when they see it. It inevitably leads to them wanting to 'have a go' which I'm more than happy to oblige and I then use it to teach them basic chords and music notation.

Sports wise, I can swim, ride horses, waterski and snow ski. When i was a child I was a keen gymnast, I can ride a bike and row a boat, I broke my wrist playing football as a child! Athough not as fit as I once was, I do try to walk everywhere as much as possible.

I am a registered English and History tutor to GCSE level with Clever Tutors. My services whilst working for them costs upwards of £19 ph.

I am kind, caring and according to my niece a natural teacher (or just like one). I have lots of experience with children, I was 14 when my sister was born and helped bring her up. She is happily married now with two gorgeous kids Emily and Evan. My nieces and nephews are a joy but they live a long way away. I have lived here in Bath since 1997 when I came here to go to University.

I am looking to provide day care or after school care.
