Kagiso, babysitting à Liverpool L1

Hi,
My Name is Kagiso Nell a 38 year old from Botswana (neighbouring South Africa). I am a mother of 2 lovely children, a boy aged 6 and a girl aged 2. They are both back home. I recently moved to UK, Liverpool to pursue a Sports Psychology PhD under the Commonwealth Scholarship. I expect to finish the course by early 2020 if not the summer of 2019. I am a Counselling Psychologist by profession having attained both my undergraduate and masters in Australia.

I am looking for opportunities to do nanny/babysitting jobs on part-time basis or casually. My permit allows me to work 20 hours a week during the semester and unlimited hours during the semester break. As a PhD student it means that I have a lot of flexibility in that I don't have classes and thus I can organise my time easily.

As a child carer, I enjoy interacting with children of all ages and have communication skills for every age group. I have good interpersonal skills refined by interactions with my nieces (the eldest being 15), students at school (having taught grade 1 and 2 students for my national service), adolescents (having interacted with junior national teams as the team psychologist) and young people (having taught undergraduate classes and been a Warden for 304 first year male students). I find it easy to interact with people and I easily pick when a child or individual prefers quiet time and it is perfectly alright with me. My nieces and friends' children always enjoy visiting my place and I never mind a house filled with more than 5 children under the age of 8 for even a couple of weeks during the school holidays. I find that children and young people need to be loved, cared for, noticed, interacted with and they also need to be allowed some age appropriate independence.

My children love video, computer and pone games. My son masters the games so fast I am always playing catch-up but I never mind. As such I am happy to play a variety of games including board games, and I am open to learn new games that my lil' friend enjoy playing. Games can be a great opportunity to build a good relationship and are usually provide great opportunities to chat with the young ones. I never mind a stroll at the park and getting myself dirty. I never mind a hide and sneak game

I have been a nanny before for 6 months when I lived in the Bahamas for 3 years. I was a nanny for a medical doctor and I never minded going the extra mile and being a parent and a working parent I understand that at times parents may get held up and as a nanny or babysitter I may need to stay a lil' longer than anticipated. I value a positive atmosphere.
