Ellesha, babysitting - LE67 Coalville

My name is Ellie and I am currently studying my second year in Child Care and Education, Level 3.
I am 17 years old and have been lucky enough to have a range of experience when it comes to working with children.
As required by my course, for the past 18 months I have worked in schools and nurseries, helping with the care need of children as well a practical jobs such as paperwork and tidying up.
I also spend my Saturday mornings helping to teach dance to 2-8 year old's at a local dance group. This has opened my eyes to the way children learn in non-curriculum lessons.
As well as this I also spent a week of my summer holiday volunteering at a local play scheme for children aged 5-12.
In my experience I have learnt how to effectively care for children to meet their learning and care needs, how to take responsibility when needed and how to be a role model to children.
Although I am still only 17, I believe with my experience and the qualification I am currently studying, I have a wide range of knowledge about children aged 6 months - 12 years and am able to care for children in the most effective way possible.
