I am an ex-learning disability nurse, (no longer registered) currently working as personal assistant to a young adult who has moderate learning disabilities. This entails supporting her with on-going independent skills, travel, education, socialising, accessing activities and inclusion within the local community. I hold a NVQ level 3 certificate in Caring for Children & Young People (gained in 2008) through supporting Looked After Children in a local authority residential home.

In 2011-2012, I worked as a temporary foster-carer to an adolescent mum with mild learning difficulties and her seven month old baby before they moved on to a mother and baby-unit.

I am looking for additional, part-time hours which may involve undertaking school-runs and mothers' help and any further identified, individualised support. I have business car insurance which enables me and my client to easily access activities further afield.

I have not worked with children since 2012 but I believe I still have the required sense of fun, patience and stamina to create a safe, secure, stimulating and nurturing environment.

I have enjoyed playing traditional games from I-Spy and Hide & Seek, to board-games; walking and swimming and group activities like Zumba, Bowling and ball-games.
