Katelyn, garde enfant à Toronto

Hi. My name is Katie and I am a 24 year old Children's Art Instructor living in Toronto. I come from a large family and with that have years of experience with new borns, toddlers, all the way up to teens. I have previously worked as a nanny for family members, and as an art instructor have been educating children aged 6-18 for the last 4 years.

My interests include painting and drawing, I mostly go between watercolours illustrations and figurative studies in acrylic. I love books and film, I am currently ready "Animal Liberation" by Peter Singer which brings me to my next point of being a vegetarian. I am very interested in health and wellness, cooking with clean and fresh ingredients all while keeping in mind how our everyday decisions affect the environment around us. Despite being a vegetarian I do not/would not push my views onto anyone else and would feel perfectly fine preparing and cooking meat if needed. I am an animal lover and owner of 2 cats named Dinah and Turnip. I have always grown up with animals around and feel comfortable with anything from dogs to lizards. Finally, I love to explore. Whether on foot or on bike I like to find new cafes, boutiques, trails, and parks around the city. Visiting different galleries, libraries and museums is included in that last as well.

I think my background with children and caring for them from such a young age has made me an incredibly patient and understanding person. It's made me responsible, reliable, and incredibly empathetic towards others needs and feelings. These are the kinds of qualities I'd like to share with your children.
