Dear Family,

My name is Barbara, I’m a 25 year old girl from Hungary where I am currently doing my MA course on Classical Studies. I have 1.5 years experience in looking after children as I have been a live in au pair in London in 2013-2014. I really enjoyed being with the children and spending quality time with them, even playing or reading bedtime stories to them.
I have worked for three families as an au pair and babysitter. During this time I have looked after a 6 month old baby for 5 months and done all of the housework including laundry, ironing, changing the beds etc. For my second family I have taken care of two boys aged 5 and 7 for a year which I enjoyed very much and got on well with them. My duties were preparing their lunch, making breakfast, sometimes taking them to school, picking them up, helping with their homework, doing babysitting and doing some light housework. My third experience was with a 2 year old boy last summer whom I looked after for just a few hours a day, I played with him, took him for walks and I fed him. I loved all of these children and met such nice parents. I’m looking forward to getting to know similar families.
In my free time I like taking nice long walks, exploring interesting places, going to the theatre and museums and reading. I am a very patient and kind person but if necessery I can be strict as well. I can find indoors and outoors activities depending on the weather and the children.
Altough I am in Hungary at the moment I am going to return to London in the summer as I won a trainee scholarship to UCL for 6 months, so I am looking for a live out nanny/babysitter job from the beginning of July until the end of January in weekday afternoons/evenings or at weekends.
