Hello! My name is Emily, I’m a grade 12 student at St. Joseph Scollard Hall. As a student I’m very involved in different areas; marching/concert band, theatre, tech, as well as on the swim team. My mother has been working as an ECE at the YMCA for over 30 years, so by coming with her to conferences and helping out over the years I’ve learned lots of professional skills. I did my student volunteer hours at the daycare helping out with children ages 1-4 as well as some older school-age kids. Ive been caring for other children for many years, whether it be neighbourhood kids, younger cousins, or paying babysitting jobs. I have great social skills with children and adults alike as I’m outgoing and friendly. I am a caring individual with only the best in mind for those I’m looking after. I play different instruments, mainly trumpet and piano. I’d also be available to tutor and help out kids with their homework as I’m in all academic and some AP classes as well as achieving awards for some of them.
