Hello ,

My name is Aileen I'm a kind caring calm , reliable and happy person .I live with my partner . He works for a local distillery as a shift manager Brewer . I have two grown up boys.My youngst is a forester and my oldest lives in Austrailia with his wife and little girl .My oldest son has his own business and my daughter in law is training to be a nurse .
My interests are growing vegetables salads and herbs in my huge poly tunnel , walking , cycling, cooking healthy food , nature and wildlife .My partner and I love going camping in our tent or caravan.Our golden retriever loves long walks and staying in nice hotels .When I have time I like to read and listen to all sorts of music. Im not really a TV person as I'd rather be doing something than watching tv .
I'm currently working as a day nanny looking after twins (boy , girl ) and big brother.I have been with the family since November 2014.Prior to this was a childminder for twelve years and I loved every minute .

My Responsibilities.

Create a safe stimulating and safe environment for the children.

Pick the children up from nursery and school
.
Supervise the children at all times .

Making healthy meals and snacks .Involving the children if old
enough.

Drive the children to and from activities .(I prefer to walk if in walking distance).

Discipline children when necessary .Making sure they understand why their behaviour was inappropriate . Explaining at an age appropriate level they can understand .

Help dress the children but encourage them to do it themselves .(age dependant).

Make sure they are rested and not over tired .

Supervise toilet needs and help where needed .Encourage good hygiene .

Change nappies if needed .Help with toilet training .

Teach the children good manners and respect for others .

How to socialise and interact with people and children all ages .

Play with the children , indoors and out .

Plan educational activities such as reading recognising colours shapes and playing number games . (Age appropriate activities).

Planning and doing art and craft activities .

Learning about the environment nature and world we live in .

Teaching them about a healthy balanced diet and how to make good choices .

How to grow vegetables and fruit .To understand where our food comes from.

Make sure they are kept active happy and healthy in body and mind.

Encourage them to try new things and make decisions.

Encourage them to be independent , confident free thinking indaviduals .
