Kasia, jeune fille au pair - 28001 Madrid

Hi to whom it may concern,

I am Kasia! I am 24, and from Oregon in the US. I have just moved to Madrid this last October, and have been enjoying the city life. I speak English and very very little Spanish. I have been learning so much since I have been here though!

I have been working with children for about 9 years now. My first job was working as a student aid in a preschool that was within in my high school. That is where I first fell in love with teaching. When I was in university was the first time I became a preschool teacher on my own. I had taken college courses for early childhood development in high school and had CPR and first aid training, so I was qualified to teach at nineteen. After that I became a nanny for a family with two boys. When I started one boy was 22 months and the second boy was 3. I nannied them until I graduated university. I studied, you guessed it, education! haha. Post-grad I moved to Thailand to teach kindergarten, and absolutely loved it. I wanted to continue to spread my wings as a teacher and to diversify my experience in other countries, so that is how I ended up as an aux in Madrid. Being an aux has been different for me since I have been used to being a full-time teacher, doing all the lesson plans, and getting to make the classroom rules and decisions, but it has also been eye opening to be on the outside of the teaching. I adore my students, and I am so happy I have gotten the chance to meet them all.

Me as a person outside of school loves to be social and do outdoorsy things. Anytime I can be outside in the sunshine, go one a hike, go swimming, or explore a new place, count me in. I am also pretty active, so I love to take the children on walks or to play outside. I love to cook and try new recipes. I have been having fun trying to make things from back home from scratch.

I am looking for part time work weekly to earn extra money while being in Madrid, and I thought what better way to do than to do something I genuinely enjoy? I am looking forward to hearing from you soon! Thank you!!
