I am 19 and am currently home from university. My career goal after I complete my degree is to work with a company, editing and/or publishing books - for young children and babies. I also wish to write and sell my own stories for this age group as well. I feel that working in a nursery over these next few months would allow me to connect with the children and submerge me in the activities first hand, and thus help me to understand the audience I will be writing and selling to in the future. I have had previous work experiences with children of all ages - from 6 months old right up to sixth form students, and I know I am very capable in handling children from any of these ages.
I am very reliable and trustworthy - especially when it comes to children. I believe that my age and the fact that I am able to interact with children on a similar level to them allows me to gain the confidence and trust of children, thus making my job in caring for them much easier.
I understand and agree with the educational system of nurseries. Teaching children from this age the basic life skills such as how to count and recite the alphabet is of utmost importance. I have always had such a soft spot for children of these ages, and so being able to contribute to their learning would fulfill a satisfaction in me in the sense of pride and achievement.
Education aside, I know that play time is just as important for children - whether it involves educational toys, dolls, or playing dress up. I have two younger sisters myself, as well as many (young) male cousins. These children have all shown me various types of playtime interests and so I can honestly say that I am able to participate in any games and activities the children may want to do.
Finally, as I am on my summer break, my entire time would be devoted to my job: if overtime is necessary then I will be more than happy to take it. Likewise if I am only needed for a few hours on a particular day, then that is suitable for me too. I am totally flexible with hours and comfortable with any age group of children, so I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application.
Kind regards,
Sahiba-Jade
Babysitting ponctuel | $7,50 de l’heure |
Garde partielle / périscolaire | $6,00 de l’heure |
Garde d'enfant à domicile | $8,50 de l’heure |
I feel that a minimum of £6/hr is justified because it is just above minimum wage, and as it is a part time job I will need to ensure that my cost of travel will be covered.
£7.50 for babysitting has the same justification, except for that it is longer hours for which I am expected to look after the children.
Finally I feel that £8.50 minimum for a full time, live in carer is justifiable as it should help to cover any charges I may create - ie food intake, etc.
