Laura, jeune fille au pair - W1H London

Having moved from London, England, to Canada earlier this year, I am looking to explore my new surroundings whilst continuing my passion, working with children. I have extensive experience working with children of all ages and abilities. Through my time nannying, I have often modelled appropriate social behaviours and encouraged concern for others through teaching children safe behaviours, and avoiding contact with unsafe objects. Furthermore, I strongly believe in sparking creativity and imagination by helping children discover new things each day, along with maintaining a child-friendly environment with engaging activities and continuous access to the outdoors and new adventures! As a nanny I strongly believe in promoting language development skills through reading and storytelling by encouraging the child to be understanding of others with different needs. Having obtained a full college diploma in health and social care, with certificates in advanced first aid, CPR, and basic life support, I have gained essential hands on experience in adhering to adequate nutrition and fluid intake along with application of traction devices and personal cares. I have extensive experience in the voluntary sector, working closely with children with varied disabilities, under 24 hour care. I have a passion for wanting to go that extra mile, in order to make someone else's day.
