My name is Abi, and I am an au pair in Paris. I am English.

When I was 18 I moved to Germany to be an au pair, I was responsible for a two year old girl. After my year there, I moved to a suburb of Paris (Saint Cloud) where I was responsible for three children, the twins we were 9 (both boys) and a girl who was 11.

After that I spent the summer in England looking after twin babies who were eight months old before returning to Paris. I am now an au pair in Paris (17th arr) looking after three children again, a two year old girl, a six year old girl and an eight year old boy. Beside that, I also look after twins on a Wednesday who are four year old.

The activities I do with the children depends on their age and the type of activities they like to do.

When I was younger, I was a Young carer for my younger brother, who is two years younger than me. I had that responsibility from the age of 14. He is on the Autistic Spectrum and had ADHD, which taught me a lot on how to deal with children who are just seen as naught children as well as giving me a different way to approach different situations.
