Olivia, garde périscolaire à Lyon 1er arrondissement

Hello dear future nounou-top family, my name is Olivia and i am 23 years old. At the moment I am studying childhood education at the IU International University of Applied Sciences.

About my work experience with children :
I have 8 years of experience with babysitting children of all ages. For some families I was their main babysitter for years. Besides that i have a certificate for babysitting in Germany.
In addition I completed a 3 month internship at the German-French Kindergarden "Kindertreff" in Lyon Croix Rousse.

The most fascinating thing for me working in this field, is watching children develop and becoming their own individual person. One of my favorite activities to do with children is going outside (preferably into the nature). I enjoy watching them play and love to support them by creating their own fantasy. I like to read out of children books and create together our own history. Furthermore i love to do handicrafts like clay sculpting or painting. Activities like these can be used to develop a good trustworthy bond with them. It is important to me that children not only look at me as a tutor but also can relate to me as a friend and talk to me about their feelings.

What languages I speak and why I enjoy learning and teaching a new language:
I was born in Germany but I grew up in Stockholm Sweden until I was seven. My parents talked to me in german, therefore I had to learn a complete new language by myself at a young age in Kindergarden. Looking backwards I am very blessed that I was raised bilingual. This is one of the main reasons why I have always been curious to learn a new language. After primary school I went to an international Highschool, where most of my classes where held in english. In my school holidays I went twice to a boarding school in London to improve my english. Also I was nominated to an exchange student program in Vermont America, where I was staying for 6 months to learn about their culture and deepen the language. Now I am ready for my new Chapter here in Lyon. I am excited to start learning French and its unique culture.
