Hi! My name is Jenna.

I'm a 22-year-old from the United States working in Lyon as freelance writer. My schedule is flexible for last-minute needs and I'm looking to pick up some hours on Fridays or evenings.

I have been babysitting since I was 13, starting with a family friend's two children, one boy and one girl, ages 4 and 6. I babysat for them for six years, up until ages 10 and 12. I often was there at night when their parents went out, so my usual tasks including playing games, reading books, helping with homework, making dinner and cleaning up afterwards, and getting the kids ready for bed. They lived in the countryside and had lots of outdoor space so in addition to indoor games, puzzles, cards and drawing we spent lots of time outside playing tag and soccer.

I also babysat for a family with three children between the ages of 5 and 12. I watched them during the day in the summer, when their parents were at work. I took them to swimming lessons, brought them to the beach or park, made them lunch, and also helped with the two dogs the family had. I'm more than happy to take care of pets; in addition to dogs I've also taken care of lizards, horses, cats, and birds.

For the past six months I've babysat for a family here in Lyon who I'm continuing with for the school year on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I take care of their almost 5-month-old son throughout the day and pick up their almost 3-year-old daughter for after-school hours.

I'm always willing to do housework as well, whether that's cleaning, dishes, laundry, or anything else. I'm a very good student and can help with homework, including essays and larger projects. I am a sailor, have worked as a lifeguard, and babysat in a suburban area so I am very aware of both indoor, outdoor and water safety.
