Beth Lian, garde périscolaire à West bromwich

My name is Bethany Lian and i am 21 years old and am currently studying to be a TA and i live in Sandwell. As a person, I am a very outgoing, confident and courageous person. I am always willing to help out fellow work colleagues, and always up for a challenge whether that’s mentally or physically, I will endeavour to take it all within my stride. I will always take it within my stride. I am also always aiming to get the best possible result as quickly and as professional as possible. I like to have the responsibility of any task given my way, do not mind working in a team but always try to excel myself when working by myself. I will also do anything that is possible for my fellow work colleagues and I always get along with everyone I work with and around. With the work experience I have gained in the last few years I believe this has enhanced my organisational, communicational, and leadership skills which has also enhanced my work whether that is in college or in my role as Leisure Attendant or working for the charity.

I have previously worked with the public in a number of different capacities over the last few years. Firstly, working as a Leisure attendant, this has enabled me to meet and communicate in a number of different ways with the general public and be able to deal with complaints and find a way to solve the issues raised as quickly and as calmly as possible, this job as also taught me how to stay calm in stressful situations. Whilst also learning the health and safety aspects that are required to enable the general public to have a fun and enjoyable time within the centre.
As well as working with the Sandwell parents for disabled children bettering myself in my skills of learning sign language and how to communicate if there is a barrier to the communication of the children or the parents, as well as helping me to learn how to handle different and sometimes difficult situations, as well as been good at taking on new things and willing to learn and try new things I’m not afraid to shy away from a challenge.
Working on the reception at Sandwell College, Central Campus, has again re-enforced my communicational skills with the general public which I believe is the most important aspect any employee should have with organisational and making sure the a professional appearance is kept throughout.
Working in a nursery as also taught me more about working with the public as on a daily basis we deal with parents and children’s problems and concerns and provide support for the child while in our care.
