Ciao. My name is Mojgan. Two years ago, I got accepted in International Medical School in La Statale and moved to Milan from a big city in Iran. So, yes, I'm a student. And as legends say, people in medicine will be students forever!
A few weeks ago, an Italian friend of mine introduced this chance of being an Au Pair to me. I had no idea that such a thing exists and so I decided to seize the opportunity and apply for it. This way I can have a fun and rewarding job to afford my life besides my studies and live in a peaceful place with a family instead of strangers and their everyday dramas! I can also practice speaking Italian if I live with an Italian speaking family.
People tell me I am a cheerful spirit, but I'm not a noisy talkative type of person. When it comes adults, I'm much more introverted. For me, it's somehow easier to interact with children rather than adults! I can understand their emotional state and most children trust me easily. Honestly, I do nothing to make them trust me. It just happens automatically!
When it comes to children, I'm responsible and patient. I did some studies in the field of Jungian psychology, and I am well-aware that even a single sentence can be so important and life-changing during childhood. I love the unprejudiced heart of children. They're genuinely courageous, pure and vulnerable. That's why I take every opportunity to absorb knowledge and gain wisdom on pedagogy of children.
I can specifically get along pretty well with teenage girls and understand their needs.
I don't have specific experience as an Au Pair, but I have the immersive experience of collaborating in raising a baby girl since she was born till the age of 8 before moving to Italy. She was living with us, and she absolutely enjoyed spending time with me and my sister.
I'm very good at doing crafts - from easy paper crafts to pottery and crochet, since I have a good sense of creativity. Meaning that if the child is interested, we can spend hours making beautiful things together. We can also do drawings, doodles, painting, and different mind games together. I absolutely love reading books for children and encourage them to read more fluently by engaging them in reading.
If language isn't a barrier, I can help children do their homework in different subjects.
I'm also active and can engage an active child and assist them in physical activities from time to time.
About my interests, I can say that apart from children and their cuteness, I love science, nature, pets, going on hikes and camping, houses with big windows, photography, dancing, classical music, gardening, and doing whatever that supports life.
Another uncommon interest of mine is observing "growth"; specially the intellectual and mental growth of children.
