Isobel, garde d’enfant à domicile à Darlington

Hi, my name is Isobel , I am 20 years old and am currently on a break between college and university, having just finished an Access to Higher Education course at Cleveland College of Art and Design. I hope to achieve distinction grades and move on to an Art and Creative Writing course at Lancaster University.

I have no current commitments and would be able to start working for a family straight away. I would not be able to work long term as I leave for University on the 30th of September but between now and then I have free time to be flexible and hardworking as a carer. I have past experience working as a volunteer teaching assistant at Whinfield Primary School and have been a babysitter on many occasions which I feel is very important and beneficial when working as a carer. As I have learnt how to act in a professional yet compassionate manner, as well as being able to cope with various challenging situations, whether that be organising a class or helping look after children of different ages . Also as a student I have had many opportunities and have held a wide variety of jobs. I have worked as a cleaner to family and friends houses, which involved a lot of manual labour and the ability to finish work to a schedule. As I previously stated I have volunteered at Whinfield Primary school, which involved helping to organise classrooms, teaching the children and making sure they stayed on task and also leading them in guided reading. I was also a volunteer waitress at the historic house Kiplin Hall.

I am open to working in full time care, part time care or babysitting. I obviously have experience in the latter but I am willing and capable of working as a full and part time carer as this would give me more opportunity to get to know the children and family I am working for.

As a childcarer I am keen to learn, am optimistic and caring. I enjoy looking after children as it offers a unique range of challenges. I have achieved GCSES and A levels so would be able to help children with homework. I am also an enthusiastic cook so would be able to make meals for a family. I also have a driving licence, my own car and have been driving for over a year now so I am able to commute.
