Lana, garde d’enfant à domicile à Manchester M60

My name is Lana Louise , I am twenty two years old and currently unemployed. I have a strong passion for working in the childcare industry and eager to start straight away.
I am looking at different childcare settings at the moment but I am really interested in being a nanny Monday to Friday for a lovely family that I will create a great bond with.

I have two nieces and one nephew that I adore and spend a lot of time with, creating memories. They are aged two, five and seven, so I have a lot of inside experience looking after them.
Professionally, I have two years experience working in a nursery working with children aged six months to five years.
My previous job role was a nursery assistant working beneath and room leader in toddlers. I worked really hard which achieved great reviews from staff, managers and parents which lead to achieving my Level 2.

My duties within the nursery were to care for each child individually, create development plans for each child which included, planning activities and reviewing them and adapting to meet their specific needs. My overall thought withing the nursery was to always ensure every child was happy and smiling throughout the day and there was always activities for them to do.

Every evening as the children were leaving to go home, I would set up our room with different activities ready for the next day.
For example, I would leave mathematics resources on one table which had an abacus, number jigsaws, white boards and pens. Then I would put literacy resources on another table with similar tools, like reading books, pens and paper and stencils for handwriting practice. I would then have different activities throughout the room, such as hairdressing, dress up, or have sessions of music and dance.

I would really like the opportunity to help a family and look after their children and give them the same care I was trained to give within the nursery. I would most definitely use my experience to plan activities and meet specific needs within a family home to ensure I am giving the best care possible for a family.
