I have been professionally working with children and families in various different settings and roles for almost 15 years now.
I began my career in childcare in a private day nursery and after 3 years moved onto a sure start nursery and soon onto out into the community running groups, working with other professionals and helping families in many different ways.
I then moved onto a school assisting in the classroom of a year 1 class, and an now currently working on the children's wards at both calderdale and Huddersfield hospitals.
I feel my career so far has made me very experienced, and an all round knowledgeable person understanding about child development, safeguarding, complex and special educational needs and also family issues.
I have children of my own aged 9 and 11 and can sympathise with parental needs.
I understand children lead busy social lives and can assist with all necessary jobs and most importantly believe children need to be safe happy and having fun.
