I have worked as a babysitter since I was 13 years of age, 5 of which years were for one family (two boys). I have experience of caring for kids as young as 6 months to as old as 15 which has given me a great insight into how to deal with different age children. I feel this experience has given me confidence, skills and a greater knowledge of kids. Having this babysitting experience allowed me to gain the skills I needed. Parents will want sitters who know how to think on my feet when unplanned circumstances arise, stay coolheaded when a child is upset or injured, and negotiate arguments over toys and games. Having real-life situations where my skills are challenged allows me to learn to make the best decisions while I’m on the job which I feel I have succeeded at doing. I am very Patience person; Just as children need to be reminded to "be patient" and "wait their turn to use the slide, " babysitters like me need to exercise patience with children. A few of my other skills are I’m active, playful, responsible, negotiable, always on Time, authoritative, creative and tenacious. I have a DRB check (up to date) as my parents are currently fostering. I also am currently in a full time job so I will need to give 30 days notice.
