I am warm and flexible person who interact well with children of all ages. I am confident and imaginative with constructive play and age appropriate activities I strongly believe that with my positive character and attitude , skills and experience as well as keen interest in child development , I would be a committed and enthusiastic nurse for the children.

I am studying as a teaching assistant at Gloucester College. I am currently working as an unqualified teaching assistant at one of the infant school in Gloucester on every Mondays. I work close with the class teacher as a team and supporting her on the daily basic by facilitating the children`s learning.

Since I have started to working at the school, I have gained a first-hand understanding of the child`s daily activities at the school`s life. I support the pupil, help them develop and encouraging them to build their independence by letting them dress themselves. I encourage the pupils to interact and work co-operatively with other through group play and learning together and help them to build their self-esteem by praising and encouraging them when they are trying something.

In past experience I worked as au-pair where I was responsible for looking after two young children, one boy and girl. (2 years and 4 years old). My main priority was to provide a safe, friendly and enjoyable environment for the children, to organise and implement their daily routines and to help them grow, learn and develop.I was responsible for the safety wellbeing , care and development of the young children. The development of the child was important in my role because it involved life skills needed in everyday life such as toilet training. This involved me being patient , I had to try to motivate him with gentle reminders and praise and encourage him by giving him a treat as a reward.I frequently planned and organised age appropriate activities that aid in the children`s into the correct sequence and matching the number of objects to a numeral.

I believe it is important and I try to be a good role model for children at all time for example using social skills to promote positive behaviour. I believe the child learns good manners more easily when "please" and "thank you" is used as a part of daily life.

My other duties included preparation of healthy meals and snack and bathing the children. I also performed some general housekeeping duties, such as tidying the children`s bedroom and play areas.
