Dear Sir or Madam,

As mentioned, I am a former registered nurse who has taken a sabatical for studying for an advanced degree. I live in the South Belfast area. I also am a mother to talented teen daughter with whom I have an amazing and loving relationship.

I am looking for a regular pattern of part-time hours per week that will supplement my income whilst completing my studies as a child and teen therapist for the next few years.

I have significant home care experience with children, that includes those with special needs. This was either in a regular shift pattern each week, or as a live in. I also worked with large groups of children of varied ages as a nurse, charity/club group leader.

I am a reliable and patient carer who enjoys and has a natural easy talent with children and animals. I also have experience with providing assistance within a family setting that is adaptive to a family's routine and facilitates consistency in the home.

I understand the importance of play, learning and a safe trusting environment that adjusts to a child's unique developmental needs. I am a hands on child care provider in that I like to actively participate and be involved in play and games. I also love to sit down a share quiet activities such as crafts and reading to or with them.

I support healthy living choices and more physical activities. This includes food preparation. I try to set an example in this. I am a non-smoker.

I am flexible in my availability, which can include evenings and weekends if needed.
