Rachel, nourrice à domicile à Ayr KA7

My name is Rachel, I am 21 years old and it has been my life-long ambition to work with children and to become a primary school teacher. I have just finished my third year studying primary education at the Ayr campus of the University of the West of Scotland.

My placements have allowed me to work with and teach children between the ages of 3 and 12, within a school or nursery setting. I have a great interest in child development and I have expanded my knowledge of children and how they learn and develop over my three years at university. I also have experience volunteering with the Anchor boys (ages 5-7), Rainbows (ages 5-7) and Women's Aid (ages 4-11). Some of my responsibilities included supervising children, preparing games and activities and assisting on outings.

As I am the oldest of all my siblings and cousins, I have grown up surrounded by children and have often babysat for children of family and friends, ranging in ages from 2 -13. Some of my duties have included: preparing meals and snacks; supervising and playing games with the children; general care and common household chores. I have also taken children on days out such as to the beach, park, shops and cinema.

I am an enthusiastic and ambitious person who loves keeping active. I particularly enjoy running, cycling, and swimming. I also like going for walks in the country or to the beach. I am a creative person and I love doing crafts, particularly card-making! My other interests include, baking, reading and trampolining.

I would love to enhance my skills and develop my experience working with children. I am available for babysitting and nanny work part-time and full-time during the school holidays.
