My names Lucy, I'm 18 years old and it has been my ambition to work with children from a young age which I believe shows in my work. I hold a 'Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Children and Young Peoples Workforce' in which I received Apprentice of the Year award.
I have experience with children from babies up until 13 years of age. This started with being the oldest in a family full of children which I babysit from time to time. I also worked in a nursery for 2 years which allowed me to thoroughly understand how to both look after and entertain children of these ages. I also work supply in a youth club run by Coxhoe Parish Council which widens my knowledge (and list of games to play!).
I feel my calm and patient mannerisms but also bubbly personality makes me perfect for this job! I believe it's important to grow a close bond, even a friendship, with the child but ensure they still see you as a guardian.
