Joanne, nourrice à East kilbride

My name is Jo and I have 2 boys who are grown up now. My experience working with children come from a nursery background. I have worked with children from the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years old in nurseries. I am currently working as a school support officer and I work with children who have behavioural issues to autism. I am currently working along side a wee boy who has autism and I'm using Makaton with him to enable him to communicate his needs to me. I have been on an autism awareness course and I have gained invaluable knowledge and an insight to how children with autism not only function but how they see the world that we take for granted. I am looking for a family who need help with not only their children but their household duties too. I know only too well how very difficult it is to juggle a full time job, look after a house and give their children what they need when they need it.

I am a fun person who can create great experiences for any age child. I am confident in preparing good healthy meals, and making sure they adopt good table manners by teaching them how we hold a knife and fork etc. I can plan activities that are age appropriate and can keep the children engaged. I am able to think of new and exciting activities for any aged child that will bring so much fun, a wee bit messy but they love it.

I am an outdoor person and I love nature and I think it's so important that children are exposed to the outdoors at a very young age to appreciate what is around them.

I am reliable and have a great work ethic. I am a very patient individual, firm but fair.
