My name is Ailsa-May and I am a bubbly and enthusiastic female looking to continue my career in childcare. I have one years training in Paediatric Nursing, CPR training, food and health hygiene qualification, along with child protection training. I volunteered for two years with a children's Autism charity before moving to Edinburgh. This was a highly rewarding role and allowed me to build trusting relationships with vulnerable children and include them in an array of different activities, either one on one, or in a group setting. Alongside this I have also worked in a nursery and so I am aware of different techniques to encourage children to build on their social and cognitive skills at this vital stage in their lives.
I have eight standard grade credit qualifications and five highers; Maths, English, Music, Health and Food Technology and History. Before working with children I did a degree in ballet and contemporary dance before deciding to have a career change.
Most of all I am a fun and caring person who loves music, dance, animals and has an interest in child development. I am sure I could fit perfectly into your family surroundings and help out in any way possible.
